Things to consider when shopping for a deer camera

The best deer camera to have must have good picture quality, offers a good trigger system and comes with good movement detection sensor. These are the three things that I personally looked for when I purchased my Bushnell deer camera. What I forgot to consider though was the battery life. Well, by Bushnell got a pretty good battery life although there are other hunting cameras who offer more for less costs. I can say that my decision was influenced by the brand name of the said camera. Still, the performance of Bushnell Trophy camera is great when it comes to image quality, sensor and detection and trigger system.

With flash or without flash

When it comes to hunting and deer camera to have, the decision to go for a camera with a flash or with no flash is important. It really depends on your needs as a hunter if you would want to go for something with a flash or not. If you are just collecting data about your prey, having a no flash camera is good because it will allow you to take as many pictures as you want. Since it won’t spook or disturb your prey, you can snap a lot of photos. The only downside is that it will be in black and white. If you want take a clear picture of your prey, you can go with a camera with a flash, take a colored picture of your prey but be prepared to take it at the right time because once the flash goes off, your prey will surely start running away.

Conclusion

The best hunting camera for beginners is often the cheapest deer camera that you can find. If you are starting with hunting and you just want to use deer camera to check how your prey moves or possibly to record your hunting experience, a low-cost deer camera can do it for you. Once you decided to get serious with hunting, you can pursue hunting as a regular hobby by starting to invest with the best deer camera for few hundred dollars.
