Why go for a mag fed paintball guns?

There are two types of paintball marker, a hopper fed paintball gun (with unlimited ammos or paint) and a mag fed paintball gun (limited ammos or paint). With a mag fed paintball gun, you won’t have to bring a lot of ammos or paint in the field because you can only use what your mag can take. Since you are running with less ammo, you will think first before making a shot. With this scenario in mind, you can now feel a real pressure knowing that you only have very few shots to make. You will also end up making tactical decisions and strategic movements so you can win your game. This is something that most shooters with unlimited paint won’t have to bother about.

Terms to know in a paintball game

Paintball marker – this is the paintball gun that paintball players use. Most paintball markers are in the rifle form or looks like an airsoft rifle. The only difference is the bullet used or the pellet components for each type of sport firearm.

Paintball pellet – a paintball pellet is the ammunition used in paintball games.  Paintball pellets often looks like a gelatin capsule, made of non-toxic materials like glycol. Paintball pellets can be broken inside the magazine resulting to a decreased paintball marker power so be aware when moving with your paintball marker.

Mask – this is the protection gear that a paintball player only needs.

Pods and packs – if you need to bring a lot of paintball pellets, this is the thing that you need to bring with you. It is a container made of plastic and it contains pellets that are ready to use.

Swab- a swab is what paintball players use to clean their paintball gun when a paintball pellet breaks inside the mag. When a paintball pellet breaks, it can lessen the effectiveness of the paintball gun and even reduces accuracy.

Elbow and knee pads – although not requires, women who are participating in an outdoor paintball game must wear an elbow and knee pad for their added protection aside from the mask.

Final Verdict

Don’t you know yet which paintball pellet to pick after we gave you our best list? This is the time then to read some of the best mag fed paintball gun reviews that you can find online.

These reviews can give you a heads up on what to look for on a paintball gun and why you should go for a mag fed paintball gun rather than a hopper fed paintball gun. One thing is for sure, once you master using and strategizing on how to optimize your mag fed paintball gun, you are one step closer to becoming a real military tactician.

Half of these markers weren’t mag-fed, specifically the Army Project Salvo and Army Alpha Black. Just a suggestion, next time look into Milsig and RAP4 (MCS) markers. They are top of the line mag-fed markers.

I am glad I am not the only one who saw this and was like, 3 out of the 5 shouldn’t be near this is list. 2 of them not even being magfed. I do think that the Tiberius is a Top5, but the Dye DAM is a marker that is really awesome with major caveats. I think if I was making a list of the Top5 I would have trouble deciding whether to say the Sar12 is the best due to the overall cost and fact that it is snipe only. I would guess that if Carmatech made CQC it would probably be the best and the Sar12 is by far the best at what it does. RAP4 makes the best entry level guns and the 468 is amazing. I am still not huge on the Helix mags, they need work or maybe just some better quality doors. Milsig mags were always only OK, but the Grizen mags changed the way I look at the M17 and para-pro from Milsig. That being said Maxtact/Scarab/Honorcore have really set the bar on well priced solid markers. I just wish they had their crap together.

So here are my two list of top 5 markers. One by quality and the other by overall play

    Quality(only) Overall Play
(Round Ball, FSR, CQC, Sniping, Support, Reliability, weight, Accuracy)
    _______ ____________
    1. Sar 12 Carmatech [FSR Only] 1. Milsig SMG with Tempest Drum
    2. Dye DAM [FSR Only] 2. RAP4 468
    3. Milsig M17 SMG 3. Tiberius T15
    4. Rap4 468 DMR [FSR Suggested] 4. Maxtact X2 Commando [wanted to rate higher]
    5. Maxtact TGR2 Ronin MK2-MOD3 5. Sar12 Carmatech [its accuracy makes it stand up in any fight]

    Honorable Mentions
    M17 PMC, M17, T8.1, TGR1, RAP4 Hurricane, TiPX and the TCR(after the kinks)
