What to Bring to an Airsoft War?

This is a brief, down and dirty list for what you will need to pack for an Airsoft war. Everyone ends up with their own play style, so overtime you will tweak your list.

I encourage you to keep a written list that you update when you unpack so that you will end up with a list that you can count on to make sure you don’t forget anything when you pack for future battles.

What to Bring to an Airsoft War?

Weapons and ammo

  • CO2 cartridges
  • Gas or propane (for gas fired guns)
  • Extra loaded magazines
  • Scope
  • Long range (at least 350 fps) and short range (no more than 350fps) gun
  • Hand gun holster
  • Grenades
  • Mines


  • Footwear that is good for outdoors and covers your ankles
  • Extra socks for all day battles
  • Outer layer of camo
  • Tactical vest
  • Gloves
  • Neck coverage, like a lightweight scarf
  • Tactical belt


You have to find the right balance for you with safety. At a minimum, you will want full eye coverage with sealed goggles. Here are some additional considerations:

  • Full hard face mask
  • Helmet or heavy hat
  • Extra tactical goggles or ballistic sunglasses
  • Basic first aid kit

Containers for BBs

There are lots of options for containers that will help you load quickly and efficiently on the battlefield. Think about your guns and how they load. Try out different containers for your ammo until you find the right balance of volume and loading capacity. Here are some ideas to consider:

  • Tic-Tac boxes
  • Soda bottles
  • Speed loader
  • Funnel


A multitool can cover a lot of the bases that you need. However, check your gear and notice any special tools that you might need on the battlefield for a quick gear repair. Here are some tool considerations:

  • Hex key set and/or screwdriver set that covers all your gear
  • Duct tape
  • Paper towels
  • Electrical tape
  • Silicone oil
  • Zip ties
  • Knife

Miscellaneous must haves

  • Charger and extra charged batteries
  • Flash light and extra batteries for night battles
  • Rail mounted flashlight for your primary weapon
  • Duffel bag or backpack for your gear
  • Small binoculars or scope
  • Water bottle and holster or hydration bladder
